yet we are the savages right
Seriously?? Nigga please. Been over 400 years, let this bullshit go.
Here it is. 400 years later and we are still being called “Nigga” and told that we should “Let this bullshit go.” Here it is 400 years later and a blatantly racist person has decided to take this picture, a picture with this much pain, this much hate and this much hurt behind it and not ONLY attach a sick, hate fueled racist word to it but also say “Let this bullshit go.” Here we are 400 years later, except…it HASN’T been 400 years and if you’d spent as much time educating yourself as you did under your Klan hood, you would be aware of this information.
Wow, this picture was taken 400 years ago? AMAZING.
This is a photograph from a book called ‘Without Sanctuary: Lynching Photography ins America” (pub. 2004). The photo is called ‘The lynching of Frank Embree, July 22, 1899, Fayette, MO”
By all reckoning, that makes this barely 113 years old.
There are two other matching photos to the set. The one below, and the one of him hanging, which is too upsetting to post. You can see it (along with others from much later time periods here: http://chnm.gmu.edu/courses/omalley/race/four.html)
Not only is OP racist, they’re also ignorant, uneducated, and plain stupid.
These pictures have me ready to burst into tears. My stomach hurts.
the look on the man’s face (cause let’s be clear, there’s only one human in this photograph) is just.
In history class my teacher showed us the Without Sanctuary website… Fuck you. I’m not gonna get over it.
The last lynching in America was when…oh right, this year. If you don’t know anything about history or current events, now is a good time to step out of this conversation.

They’ve always said that I’m anti-white. I’m for anybody who’s for freedom. I’m for anybody who’s for justice. I’m for anybody who’s for equality. I’m not for anybody who tells me to sit around and wait for mine.

“Racist as I don’t know what!” Sen. Rodger Smitherman, D-Birmingham, shouted on the Senate floor. “Racist. Prejudiced. Racist. That’s what we’ve got going on in this state now. Alabama is going backwards, to the racist Ku Klux times.”
Despite anger over the process, the House redistricting plan passed the Senate about 4 a.m., the Senate redistricting plan passed the House about 4:30 a.m., and the bills are headed to Republican Gov. Robert Bentley for his signature.
….
Senate Democrats were furious over Republicans quickly starting a vote on the House redistricting plan before Democrats had a chance to ask that the bill be read in full. Throughout the early-morning session, Democrats had made clear their intention to ask for a full reading of the 605-page bill, which lawmakers said would have taken about 36 hours….
But Sen. Gerald Dial, R-Lineville, caught Democrats off guard by quickly calling for a final vote, Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh, R-Anniston, immediately accepted the motion, and the vote began. Democrats called for the bill’s reading less than 1 second after the vote had begun, but Republicans did not stop it then, or as Democrats continued to object, shouting and pounding on the Senate clerk’s desk as he called the name of each senator to receive their votes.
Marsh was unapologetic.
“You have to be on your toes in that chamber. That’s the process,” he told reporters after the vote. “Sen. Dial was on his toes. He saw a break in the action. He moved for passage. It was my job, at that point sitting in the chair, to ask for the roll call, and that’s exactly what I did.”
…
The bill will increase the number of majority-black districts from 27 to 28.
However, the number of majority-white districts in which black people represent at least 25 percent of the population would fall from 11 to six, thus reducing the number of districts where black residents have significant influence.

Mark Traina, 55, of Slidell, La., worked with students in the Jefferson Parish Public Schools’ “alternative schools,” where elementary and middle-school pupils “with difficulties in learning and, in some cases, in adapting to the rules of school or community” are sent, according to the school district.
He was the subject of a complaint filed with the U.S. Department of Education by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a liberal-leaning civil rights advocacy group, which cited comments on Twitter like this:
- “Angry young black males with no respect for life destroying the U.S.”
- “Serpas should be warning people to stay the hell out of New Orleans! These black dudes will kill you!” (The reference is to Ronal Serpas, the New Orleans police superintendent.)
- “2 New Orleans policemen shot, 1 suspect dead, another injured. UPDATE|NOLA Quick Someone call David Duke before the NAACP gets here.”
IN CHARGE OF OUR CHILDREN!!!!!!! AND PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY BLACKS ARE MORE LIKELY TO GET PUT INTO THESE “ALTERNATIVE” SCHOOLS AND CLASSES…. PEOPLE WONDER WHAT’S HINDERING OUR SUCCESS IN THIS COUNTRY!
You think this man is going to have a Black child’s best interest at heart?
